Geography:
Petite grotte jouxtée d'un abri, ouverts au sud dans un escarpement dominant la rive gauche de l'Ardèche, sur le versant nord de la vallée du Tibure.

Proximity:

 Les grottes ornées les plus proches sont la Vacheresse (1300 m au nord-ouest), le Colombier (même distance au sud) et Ebbou (1 km au sud-est).

L'entrée surbaissée ouvre sur une galerie de 40 m, divisée en trois salles principales par des chatières. Les figures pariétales peintes se limitent à une paire de cornes de bouquetin (30 cm) vue de face, trois lignes sinueuses évoquant des profils animaux, et deux signes ovales (10 cm). Elles sont localisées sur la paroi droite de la troisième salle. A 1 m des figures se trouvent des gravures modernes accompagnées de deux dates tracées au charbon (1601).

La grotte a été utilisée comme refuge au Moyen-âge et pendant les guerres de religion. Un berger y vivait au 19e siècle. Les peintures sont concrétionnées et les pigments diffus.

Conservation:

Intervention:
La grotte est explorée en août 1948 par A. Glory et trois collaborateurs, qui réalisent le relevé, publié en 1955. La caverne est ensuite visitée par A. et G. Sieveking (1962) et E. Drouot (1968). Le site, non aménagé et classé Grand site le 24 février 1982, n'est pas ouvert au public.
