Geography:
falaise dominant le village de Campagne. Ouverture au nord-ouest, domine de 120 m le fond de la vallée de la Vézère. Vaste point de vue. Porche très bas.

Proximity:

vallée de la Vézère; fait face aux falaises de la grotte de Saint-Cirq.

Geology:

calcaire coniacien

Surface:

paroi gauche. Nombreuses alvéoles et quelques espaces plans. La calcite portant les gravures couvre la roche-mère et s'en détache par endroits.

Dimensions:
Length 2.50 m.  Width 0.30 m.

fines gravures. Cheval en perspective normale (uniangulaire), couvert de 2 traits non figuratifs. Cadré sur une surface plane limitée par les alvéoles naturelles. Ramure de cervidé incluse dans une alvéole. Ligne de dos d'un animal non identifiable entre les 2 précédents. A gauche du cheval, raclage de la paroi (2,5 x 10 cm). Sous le cheval, courtes hachures juxtaposées non figuratives.

calotte crânienne (non analysée) découverte en 1977 dans la salle des gravures. Gravures découvertes en 1979 par deux habitants du hameau (Y. et E. Marty). Propriétaire actuel: M. Gaillard. Grotte fermée au public. Relevés topographiques et des gravures en 1980 par G. Deladerrière et Y. Marty.
