Situa-se num planalto que se ergue sobre a margem direita da Ribeira do Caratão, na freguesia de Mação. Dista 3250 m do Bando dos Santos, que está a norte; 3500 m de S. Pedro, a SW; 4750 m. do Vale da Mua, a ENE; e 5000 m. do Vale de Figueira a oeste.


Situa-se perto da ribeira do Caratão.

EuroPreArt, European Prehistoric Art, is a web-based archaeological project funded by the European Union which aims to establish a lasting data-base of European prehistoric art documentation, to launch the base of an European institutional network and to contribute to the awareness of the diversity and richness of European Prehistoric Art.
