Geography:
Para llegar al abrigo se sale de Millares por carretera hacia Bicorp en el Collado de Nabos, a 14'5 kms. del pueblo, se toma la pista forestal que cruza la carretera, tomando el desvío hacia la izquierda, el cual luego de varios cruces de caminos deja encima del Barranco de las Cañas. Tras un kilómetro de marcha a pie, o algo más, y después de cruzar una pequeña barrancada, se alcanza el yacimiento. El abrigo es un pequeño covacho, con capacidad para las personas en su entrada, a lo sumo, pues la verdadera cavidad no tiene más de 1'80 metros y su altura disminuye pronto. El abrigo se prolonga pronto por la derecha en un pequeño lienzo rocoso que contiene las pinturas. Cavidad y pared están protegidas por una ceja rocosa de los estratos superiores a 3'50 metros del suelo y con un voladizo de un metro probablemente. La situación es en el margen izquierdo del citado Barranco de las Cañas a los diez metros de su vaguada, normalmente seca en verano, y a una altitud de 340 metros sobre el nivel del mar. La orientación general es suroeste (205º) y la específica de la pared que contiene las pinturas de SO (235º). La zona de pinturas mide 1'80 m. de longitud horizontal por 1'20 m. de altura, abarcando todos los restos que se observan, pero la zona de figuras es mucho más reducida.

EuroPreArt, European Prehistoric Art, is a web-based archaeological project funded by the European Union which aims to establish a lasting data-base of European prehistoric art documentation, to launch the base of an European institutional network and to contribute to the awareness of the diversity and richness of European Prehistoric Art.
