Geography:
Boulder is found in the plain called Pian delle Greppe at Cemmo, fraction of Capo di Ponte (BS). The land was used for grapes, now on for pastures.

Proximity:

Not far from the road that connects Cemmo to Capo di Ponte, in front of the local museum and the Centro Camuno di Studi Preistorici

Erratic boulder, sandstone

Length 1.25 m.  Width 0.85 m.

Description:

Capo di Ponte Municipality (BS-I), in the Pian delle Greppe site. The engravings are executed on a boulder by hammering. Almost all the engravings are concentrated on the frontal surface and of the sides.

Notes:

The stela was discovered casually in 1981 by A. De Giuli, during the construction of the soccer field. The excavation undertaken in 1983 has clarified the stratigraphy of the finding: the boulder was in a secondary position, probably fallen from the high position. The boulder has been traced and coloured few times. It is visited by many students during the year. It is conserved in the national Park of rock engravings.
