From Ancient Bronze Age to Iron Age (style III B-C -IV 1-2-3-4-5; 2000 BC-1st cent. AD). The Style IV of the Valcamonica Rock art corresponds with the Iron Age and with the beginning of the Roman period. The Style IV has been divided (Fossati) in 5 sub-phases: I (schematic), II (pre-naturalistic), III (naturalistic), IV (decadent), V (final). Each phase finds chronological comparisons between engraved and real objects (mostly metal weapons).
