Longue caverne horizontale d'accès facile, d'une longueur totale de 330 m avec des galeries souvent étroites et parfois réduites à de simples boyaux; la grotte comprend 5 salles plus vastes. La décoration compte des tracés charbonneux, des éclaboussures brunes, des ponctuations rouges, un signe ramifié noir, un signe noir formé de traits convergents. Parmi les figures animales, on reconnaît un bouquetin, stylisé, 3 probables chevaux, 1 canard dont l'oil est une cavité naturelle.

La présence de deux traits sur l'encolure du cheval incite à le dater du style IV de Leroi-Gourhan. L'encornure du bouquetin est proche de celles de Cougnac. Le signe fait de traits convergents trouve un équivalent à Font-de-Gaume (Dordogne). L'ensemble peut donc être attribué au Magdalénien ancien ou moyen.

Intervention:
Les figures sont découvertes par G. Canet, B. et J. Choppy et M. Lorblanchet en 1961 et 1962. Un mur et une porte sont placés pour protéger l'accès. Des fouilles et sondages sont pratiqués dans l'entrée et dans la galerie entre 1964 et 1968. Le site, fermé au public, est classé Monument historique le 19 juin 1968.
