Un unique panneau gravé (1,5 x 0,75 m) contient quatre figures réparties en deux registres. En haut, un signe "en diabolo" ; en bas, de gauche à droite, un arrière-train de cheval, une figure anthropomorphe, quelques traits rectilignes. Ceux-ci et le signe en diabolo sont très probablement modernes (non mentionnées par H. Breuil en 1945)

La figure anthropomorphe, bien qu'incomplète, est très proche de celle de Saint-Cirq-du-Bugue. Les fouilles ont livré deux ensembles du Magdalénien moyen, avec industrie lithique, osseuse, art mobilier (deux bâtons percés ornés d'un bouquetin et d'un cervidé ; une statuette anthropomorphe sur phalange de cheval) et sépultures. Deux dates ont été réalisées par C14: 16200 + 600 (Gif5479) et 15300 + 410 (Gif 5478)

Les gravures, exposées à la lumière du jour, sont altérées. La rapide "cicatrisation" de la roche uniformise l'apparence des traits gravés modernes et anciens.

Fouilles de Blanchard et Chauveau vers 1934. Le site est classé Monument historique le 6 mars 1935. Gravures signalées par Courty (1957), décrites par J.M. Bouvier et G. Trécolle (1966). Lecture de l'abbé Breuil publiée après sa mort (1972).
