Notes:

Abstract: Vale da Casa was the first Rock art site discovered in Côa Valley. It'a an open-air site which integrates 27 engraved schist pannels, that nowadays are submerged by Pocinho dam. These engravings are dated from Cooper Age (anthropomorphic esquematic figures, made by pecking tecnique) and Iron Age (anthropomorpfic and zoomorphic figures, and weapons and signs, made by scratching technique). In particular, horses representation is very similar to iberian horses represented in mediterranean ceramics. It's also important to refer the evident association between engravings, and an inscription with iberian caractheres.
