Geography:
Está situado en el Barranco de las Letras que uniéndose al de Falón desemboca finalmente en el río Júcar. El itinerario para llegar a él es tomar el llamado Camino de la Canal que sale de la carretera de Real de Montroy a Dos Aguas, unos 7 kilómetros antes de llegar a esta última localidad. Este camino deja frente al abrigo y normalmente es bastante transitable. Simplemente luego hay que bajar a la vaguada y ascender un poco por la vertiente opuesta. El abrigo está formado por una larga oquedad rocosa labrada en los contrafuertes de las calizas cretáceas que sobresalen del monte a unos veinte metros de fondo del valle. Por esta parte los estratos superiores le forman con su voladizo una buena protección rocosa. La orientación general del abrigo es SE (135º) y la altitud del mismo 460 metros sobre el nivel del mar. La roca, de tonalidad muy clara en su pátina, hace que las pinturas destaquen perfectamente.

EuroPreArt, European Prehistoric Art, is a web-based archaeological project funded by the European Union which aims to establish a lasting data-base of European prehistoric art documentation, to launch the base of an European institutional network and to contribute to the awareness of the diversity and richness of European Prehistoric Art.
