Geography:
Situa-se numa pequena chã, que se destaca dos terrenos envolventes plantados com vinhas e algumas arvores de fruta, a cota muito baixa. O monumento encontra-se já no meio de pinheiros e eucaliptos que descem em declive suave para SW e bastante abrupto para SE em direcção ao rio Dão

Granito de grão grosseiro

Surface:
A superfície dos esteios com pinturas encontra-se afeiçoada. Num dos esteios é visível vestígios de "pasta" branca, possivelmente utilizada para regularizar a superfície ou para realçar as pinturas, ou eventualmente as duas.

Dois esteios da câmara apresentam pinturas, de caracter maioritariamente esquemático, embora algumas evidenciem características naturalistas. Em outros dois esteios também há vestígios de pinturas, que não se conseguem identificar. As pinturas são na sua maioria vermelhas, apresentando algumas uma tonalidade alaranjanda, foi encontrado também uma pintura a preto com linhas muito finas.

EuroPreArt, European Prehistoric Art, is a web-based archaeological project funded by the European Union which aims to establish a lasting data-base of European prehistoric art documentation, to launch the base of an European institutional network and to contribute to the awareness of the diversity and richness of European Prehistoric Art.
