The motifs consist of abstract 'cup-and-ring marks' of the Galician style found across Ireland, the United Kingdom Western France and Iberia. They consist of deep pecked glyphs produced with a hard tool (probably stone or antler). The central motif is comprised of a cup surrounded by a penannular ring and two complete outer rings. A radial groove leads out from the cup and a natural groove runs from the middle ring out in the opposite direction. Surrounding this motif is a scatter of cups and one probable cup and ring which has been eroded and now appears as a cup and penannular ring. A cup mark is also positioned between the middle and outer rings.

Intervention: |
This boulder was removed from its original location where it was incorporated into a field fenceline and is now in the posession of Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne (Ballyferriter Museum) and is on permanent display. Its current location indoors should prevent further surface damage by weathering. Recorded in Cuppage (1986) Listed in the Sites and Monuments Record of Ireland |
