As gravuras encontram-se num local ermo, predominando a vegetação rasteira (tojo e urze), além de alguns pinheiros e eucaliptos.

Proximity:

 Rocha insculturada o Orzão; Monte de Faro

Geology:
Afloramento Granitico, de duas micas, grão médio a grosso, apresentando áreas com fenocristais de quartzo leitoso.

Surface:
Muito erosionada e coberta de liquenes

As gravuras foram obtidas por picotagem, seguida de trabalho de alisamento por abrasão. Os círculos concêntricos encontram-se mais na periferia, especialmente a este, onde surgem com que agrupados. As armas encontram-se no centro e os motivos considerados idoliformes desenvolvem-se em ambos os lados das mesmas. As covinhas apresentam-se distribuídas um pouco por toda a rocha.

EuroPreArt, European Prehistoric Art, is a web-based archaeological project funded by the European Union which aims to establish a lasting data-base of European prehistoric art documentation, to launch the base of an European institutional network and to contribute to the awareness of the diversity and richness of European Prehistoric Art.
