The Gotland University College (www.hgo.se) has a large experience both in the recording and study of scandinavian rock art, but also in computer applications for research and museography (namely GIS programmes), and the building of cultural touristic routes (having hosted the Viking route from the Council of Europe). The College, under Professor Göran Burenhult, also co-ordinates a major project on European megalithism.
